We're the Paroxysm team. Paroxysm is a free, text-based multiplayer RPG (a MUD) focused on immersive roleplay and player-driven stories.

World War II ended when a portal to Hell opened and half of humanity perished. From the ashes rose the Cortex, an authoritarian world government. The supernatural walk among humanity. Some hide, some openly defy the government, and some join the organisation hunting them.

• Play a vampire, werewolf, demonborn or another supernatural archetype, or join the Cortex
• Supernatural powers, progression and PvP
• Factions and territory
• AI Champions: NPCs powered by LLMs that behave like players and compete in events, so there's something to do even when the server is quiet
