    Dario Amodei is not deluded or crazy. He is just a selfish jerk who wants more money.

      These things are in no way mutually exclusive, and there's plenty of evidence that SV is a giant cult that gets high on its own supply.

    Not a single AI CEO understands cybersecurity. They've got soundbytes to make it sound like they know what they're talking about, but time and again they're complete nonces.

    Though reading that back we might be able to expand the scope to most CEOs.

      Perhaps the bigger problem is that it appears nobody else at these companies does either.

        its competent people raising issues and being overruled, ignored, laughed at by people who want to move fast and break things. same as always.

          Generally what happens in these environments is that competent people move on to greener pastures, and you end up self selecting for an echo chamber of the latter kind of people.
